The Grosmont Co-operative Society Shop is a true village store at the heart of the community. Nestled next to the train station in the centre of Grosmont, North Yorkshire, our shop is more than just a place to buy groceries - it’s a hub where locals and visitors come together to chat, share news, and enjoy a friendly atmosphere.
Run by a dedicated team of volunteers and staff, we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and a warm welcome. Our shelves are stocked with everything from everyday essentials to locally produced goods, offering fresh produce, delicious snacks, and those last-minute must-haves. Whether you’re picking up ingredients for tonight’s dinner, grabbing an emergency packed lunch, or simply stopping by for coffee and freshly made pastries or sausage rolls, we’ve got you covered.

Founded in 1867, the Grosmont Co-operative Society Shop has been a cornerstone of the community for over 150 years. From the days of horse-drawn carriages to modern times, we’ve remained dedicated to serving our customers with quality and care. Through wars, changing shopping habits, and a rapidly evolving world, our commitment to the village has never wavered.
